Gov. Umahi to Buhari, Nigerians yet to Feel Impact of Fight Against Corruption

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has told President Mohammadu Buhari, that Nigerians are yet to feel the impact of his fight against corruption.

Umahi said this while receiving Muslim faithfuls at the Government House Abakaliki, during the just concluded Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The Governor maintained he would continue to support the fight against corruption while stating that corruption should be fought in such a manner that every Nigerian would feel the impact.Fight Against Corruption

The governor who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, said they would continue to pray for Buhari’s resounding health and success.

“We as a state and government are in support of President Mohammadu Buhari anti-corruption war, we acknowledge that and ask that it should be fought in a way and manner that Nigerians needs to feel the impact.

“And we shall continue to pray for his health and success, and support him in his anti-corruption war in Nigeria.

“But we will as a state will continue to pray for him for sound health essentially at this time where we have seen defection from APC to PDP and PDP to APC,” he noted

On his part, the spokesperson of the group, Alh. Barr. Ibrahim Obia, appreciated governor Umahi for his ingenuity in leadership, adding that his administration has always treated them well.
