Salad: Spinach is an edible herbaceous plant that is rich in vitamins. Due to its low calorific value, it forms part of a healthy meal for weight loss amongst other useful benefits.
This leafy vegetable is packed with powerful antioxidants that helps to destroy cancerous cells. It can be used to prepare various dishes including spinach salad. Preparing salad with spinach can be done in three ways which have been carefully described below.
- First recipe
This method is very easy and takes about 20-30 minutes.
1 bunch of spinach
2 slices of red onions
6 white mushroom
Ingredients for salad dressing
1/2 cup champagne wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon mustard
2 teaspoon sugar
Method of Preparation Of Salad
The spinach should be chilled in advance then wash carefully and remove stem. Then let it dry. Also wash the mushrooms carefully and let them dry. Then cut off the bottoms of their stems and slice. Next, take any middle-sized bowl and add the mushrooms and spinach. If you desire, you can add tomatoes and red onions to the salad anyhow you like.
For salad dressing:
Take all ingredients for the dressing and place them in a small bowl. Whisk them carefully. Finally, add pepper and salt to youpur taste.
- Second Recipe – Spinach salad with fruits
This salad is suitable in warm and hot weather. It’s very light and easy to cook.
1/2 cup of walnuts
1 bunch of fresh spinach
1/2 bunch of green onions
3 pieces of peach
2 tablespoons grapefruit juice
orange juice – 1 piece (you can use juice from the package)
2 table spoons of wine vinegar
2 tablespoons of olive oil
salt and sugar to taste
1/2 cup cheese to taste
Raisins or dried berries to taste.
Method of Preparation
Place a frying pan on fire to heat for a short while. Then reduce fire gradually and pour half a glass of nuts and add sugar. Fry and stir it. Sugar should melt and turn into liquid. Nuts should be covered with an appetizing caramel crust. Remove it from the fire and cool. Place spinach leaves in any plate. Then do the same with chopped spinach, raisins. Chop green onion. Cut peach into small slices. Put onions and peaches in a plate with a salad. Add prepared walnuts.
Then prepare the dressing for the salad. Mix grapefruit juice, orange juice, sugar (2-3 tablespoons), white wine vinegar, olive oil and salt in a bowl. Pour prepared dressing in the salad and serve it.
- Third Recipe – Spinach bacon salad
This salad is perfect for those who like the light dishes but can’t live without meat. You will enjoy this.
1/4 cup olive oil and vinegar for dressing
4 cups bagged spinach
1 cup quartered artichoke hearts
2 hard-boiled and sliced eggs
1/4 cup crumbled bacon pieces.
Method of Preparation
Heat the dressing ingredients first in a microwave (olive oil and vinegar dressing) The second step is the mixing of eggs, spinach, bacon and artichoke hearts in a sizeable bowl. Then, add the heated salad dressing. And you’re done!
