Ebonyi/Cross River boundary Crisis… FG moves to end crisis
Ebonyi local government council chairman has revealed that about 7000 persons have been displaced in the ongoing boundary war between the people of Igbeagu in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi and Ukele in Yala local government area of Cross River State.
Gov. Umahi: Barley 24 hours Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State announced his exit from the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), Governor Umahi of Ebonyi has disclosed he can never join APC.
Umahi, said this at the Government House, Abakaliki while dispelling rumours that he was making plans to join APC.
Ebonyi State Government has banned over-the-counter sale of antibiotics and analgesics such as tramadol, codeine contained products unless prescribed by a medical doctor.
Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Services, Dr. Sunday Nwangele announced the ban on Monday, July 2, 2018, at the executive chambers while briefing journalists.
Ranching:
Contrary to reports that Ebonyi State was among the nine states mapped out by Federal Government for ranching, Umahi has revealed that there is no land for ranching in Ebonyi.
He said this while briefing journalists at the executive chambers last Wednesday, June 20, 2018, after meeting with security chiefs in the state.
